Are you a driven graduate with a passion for business, supply chain, and strategic sourcing? Join our team as a Graduate – Procurement & Category Management and build a strong foundation in procurement practices while gradually transitioning into a role in category management. This is a development-focused role where you will gain hands-on experience in both operational procurement and strategic sourcing, allowing you to grow into a future specialist.

Development Path & Exposure

You will start in the Procurement Department, learning the fundamentals of purchasing processes, vendor interactions, and supply chain systems. As your knowledge and experience grow, you will begin to take on tasks related to Category Management, including sourcing strategy development, contract lifecycle support, and supplier performance analysis. Over time, you will be mentored to manage sourcing portfolios independently and contribute to long-term business strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Initial Phase – Procurement Focus

  • Support day-to-day procurement activities including purchase requisitions, order creation, and supplier follow-up.

  • Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with internal policies.

  • Assist in tender and bidding processes by preparing documentation and evaluations.

  • Participate in vendor engagement and onboarding activities.

  • Work with internal departments to understand supply needs and procurement timelines.

Growth Phase – Transition to Category Management

  • Analyze procurement data and spend patterns to identify sourcing opportunities.

  • Support the development of sourcing strategies and category plans for selected spend categories.

  • Assist in preparing and evaluating tenders, conducting supplier negotiations, and drafting contracts.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers to drive performance improvements.

  • Learn to manage supplier relationships and contribute to long-term agreements.

Job requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Recent graduate (Bachelor’s degree) in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.

  • Strong interest in procurement, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management.

  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn across multiple roles.

  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; knowledge of ERP or procurement systems as Oracle is an advantage.

  • Fluent in Dutch and English; Sranan Tongo is an advantage.

  • Willingness to work on a 14/7 rotational schedule
