Senior Metallurgist

Senior Metallurgist - Rosebel Gold Mines N.V.

Rosebel Gold Mines N.V. is seeking a Senior Metallurgist to join our Mill Metallurgy Lab department. As a Senior Metallurgist, you will be responsible for overseeing the metallurgical processes and ensuring that they are running efficiently. You will also be responsible for analyzing data and making recommendations for process improvements.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Effective management of metallurgical team to ensure continued support to operations and process needs
• Maintain the Metallurgical laboratory for various bench top testing protocols to better understand circuit
• Support of mill operating group will be essential to maintain high process standards allowing for stable process and sustained parameter set points with minimal variance
• Manage various projects to ensure processes are engineered to meet business needs through optimal design and cost management
• Implementation of mill process control strategies necessary to meet or exceed budget target
• Support operations of laboratory from a distance to ensure management practices are in line with service expectations
• Ensure QAQC standards are maintained through alignment with mine technical services group and CALA certification protocols
• Develop and implement process improvements
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

The ideal candidate has:

• Bachelor's degree in metallurgical engineering or related field
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in gold processing operations
• Experience in mill operations and optimization
• Strong understanding of metallurgical accounting and reporting
• Experience with process control systems and data analysis
• Ability to lead and mentor junior metallurgists and technicians
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
