Dewatering Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as Dewatering Supervisor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the readiness of mine dewatering operations at all times, including manpower, pumps, pipelines, and equipment.

Your key responsibilities will include.

• Ensuring that dewatering infrastructure and operations are optimized for efficiency.
• Identifying and addressing risks related to pit flooding within the open pit mining operation.
• Providing technical support for dewatering services and various engineering projects.
• Collaborating with the planning team to integrate dewatering aspects into the overall mining operation.
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Coordinating mine operation reporting to maintain high-quality and timely reporting standards.
• Supervising and supporting the Mine Analyst in their daily tasks.
• Supporting continuous improvement projects within the mine operation by providing guidance and coaching to the Mine Project Engineer.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum a Secondary High school diploma in Hydrometeorology or relevant field.
• Minimum of 10 years' work experience in water management and dewatering.
• With 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
• Working knowledge of applicable mining regulations and technical knowledge of open pit mine dewatering;
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Valid Suriname Drivers’ license.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English, Mandarin language is an asset.
• Willingness to work on a rotational schedule of 14 days of work followed by 7 days break.
