ICT Server Administrator

At Rosebel Gold Mines, we are committed to responsible practices and the seamless operation of our technological infrastructure. We are seeking a skilled ICT Server Administrator to join our team. This role focuses on managing IT infrastructure, particularly servers and computer networks, while ensuring secure and efficient system operation.

Who We’re Looking For
You have several years of relevant experience managing IT infrastructure. You’re a reliable, analytically strong technical administrator with an eye for IT developments and security challenges. You enjoy collaborating with colleagues, take initiative, and have excellent communication skills. You also contribute ideas for changes that improve the organization. You are responsible, process-oriented, and capable of weighing costs and benefits to determine when something is good enough.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain local and wide-area networks, cabling systems, and software.

• Manage Windows Servers, Active Directory, VMware, and other virtual environments.

• Proactively identify and resolve risks during updates and releases.

• Maintain system documentation and ensure disaster recovery readiness.

• Provide 2nd line support and quickly resolve incident reports and issues.

• Actively contribute to IT projects and process improvements.

The ideal candidate should have:

• Preferably a bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of thinking; at least a vocational (MBO) ICT education.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in system administration and the IT industry.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Willingness to work outside regular hours when needed.

• Service-oriented, proactive, and team-focused attitude.

• Good written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English, Mandarin language is an asset.

• Willingness to work on a rotational schedule of 14 days of work followed by 7 days break.

Specific Knowledge and Experience

• Expertise in Windows Servers, Windows Client, Active Directory, VMware, WSUS and security solutions (e.g., Fortinet).

• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam).

• Knowledge of network configurations, routers, switches, and firewalls.

• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL or Oracle databases is a bonus.
