Inventory controller

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Procurement and Logistics department as an Inventory Controller. As an Inventory Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the warehouse, including receiving, dispatching, and inventory control. You will follow established policies and procedures while supporting our operations at Rosebel Gold Mines N.V.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Administer the warehouse inventory control system, including issuing, dispatching, and storage of materials.

• Maintain an organized warehouse and yard, ensuring all areas are clean, accessible, and compliant with safety standards.

• Issue warehouse inventory stock items, ensuring requisitions are properly completed and authorized.

• Routinely review warehouse control reports and conduct inventory counts to verify data accuracy.

• Ensure the safe and efficient storage of goods and materials in clearly identified locations.

• Dispatch goods from the site for repair or return for credit and follow up with the Site Buyer on outstanding repairs.

• Maintain timely and accurate record-keeping of all warehouse transactions.

• Manage the Tool Crib, including issuing tools and monitoring their return.

• Update and reconcile the gas cylinder register and maintain accurate records.

• Assist Material Handlers with receiving goods and materials as required.

• Ensure all warehousing activities are performed professionally, in compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.

• Regulate access to warehouse areas and prevent unauthorized entry beyond the issue desk.

• Establish good working relationships with all site personnel and address warehouse requests or problems efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum Grade 12 education (VWO, IMEAO, HAVO).

• 1 to 3 years of related experience in warehouse or inventory control.

• Experience with computerized material management systems is an asset.

• Familiarity with project management systems or strong computer skills, with the ability to quickly learn new systems.

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize responsibilities effectively.

• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
