Lead Camp Services

As the Lead Camp Services at Rosebel Gold Mines N.V., you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the Camp Services department, including Kitchen, Camp Office, Laundry, and Housekeeping. Your main objective is to ensure the delivery of high-quality services that meet audit standards.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Lead and execute the Scope of Work (SOW) in alignment with company agreements, covering various areas such as HSE, HR, Administration, transportation, water bottling and distribution, housekeeping, laundry, recreation, staff training, budgeting, procurement, and camp facilities maintenance.

• Operate in accordance with Camp Facilities Management vision, ethics, and professionalism, representing the company positively to clients.

• Support the implementation of short- and intermediate-term strategies for camp management activities, including Laundry, Housekeeping, Recreation, Transportation, Water Bottling and Distribution, and Office.

• Implement strategies to enhance the efficiency and functionality of the camp services divisions.

• Oversee all aspects of the multi-service camp's operations at a remote mine site, including planning, budgeting, staffing, and cost containment.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Relations or a related field.

• Minimum of 5-8 years' relevant work experience including 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role.

• Working knowledge of QA and QHSE policies and procedures.

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Valid Suriname Drivers’ license.

• Strong organizational skills, proven problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadline.

• Good written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English, Mandarin language is an asset.

• Willingness to work on a rotational schedule of 14 days of work followed by 7 days break.

• If selected, you will be required to submit a Police Clearance Certificate (“Bewijs van Goedgedrag”). Please initiate the request at your respective District Commissariat.
