Mill Maintenance General Foreman

Role Overview

Responsible for the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and improvement of automation and control systems, supporting safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

Design, configure, install, and commission PLC, HMI, DCS, and SCADA systems.

Troubleshoot and modify control systems to improve plant reliability and performance.

Develop PLC logic, control strategies, and automation solutions.

Provide technical support to Maintenance, Production, Engineering, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams.

Support automation projects, system upgrades, backups, and industrial network configuration.

Supervise and provide technical guidance to Junior Automation & Control Specialists and Technicians.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of automation experience, preferably in a mining/mineral processing environment.

Degree in Automation, Electrical/Control Engineering, or related field preferred.

Strong knowledge of PLC programming, HMI, DCS, and SCADA.

Experience with Wonderware/System Platform is an advantage.

Knowledge of industrial networks, PLC troubleshooting, alarm management, and cybersecurity.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.

Good command of written and spoken English.
