Mine Supervisor

We are seeking dedicated Mine Supervisors to join our Mine Operations department at Rosebel Gold Mines N.V. As a Mine Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily mining operations, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and leading the crews to achieve production targets. 

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Oversee and coordinate mining activities, convey production goals, schedules and priorities to the mine crew.
  
• Ensure the mine crews have the training tools and equipment in place to perform the work safely and efficiently.
• Supervise and motivate a team of operators and ensure that production and development targets are met.
• Provide employees with clear work objectives and expectations of the production levels required.
• Monitor performance, conduct job observations and provide coaching to employees.
• Monitor production targets and implement strategies to meet goals within compliance with safety regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize mining processes.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum a Secondary High school diploma (NATIN/AMTO) Mining or relevant degree.
• Minimum of 10 years' work experience in mining.
• With 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
• Working knowledge of the applicable legislation and regulations for Mines and Mining Plants.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Valid Suriname Drivers’ license.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English, Mandarin language is an asset.
• Willingness to work on a rotational schedule of 14 days of work followed by 7 days break.
