Roads & Dumps Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Roads & Dumps Supervisor in the Mine Operations department at Rosebel Gold Mines N.V. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operations of our mining activities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Oversee the construction and maintenance of roads and dumps within the mine site

• Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient transportation of materials

• Implement safety protocols and procedures to uphold a secure working environment

• Monitor equipment usage and maintenance schedules

• Provide leadership and guidance to the Roads & Dumps team and ensure that production and development targets are met.

• Monitor performance, conduct job observations and provide coaching to employees.

• Monitor production targets and implement strategies to meet goals within compliance with safety regulations.

• Collaborate with other departments to optimize mining processes.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A minimum of a Secondary High School diploma (NATIN/AMTO) in Mining or a relevant field.

• At least 10 years of work experience in mining operations, including 2 years in a supervisory role.

• A working knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations for Mines and Mining Plants.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• A valid Surinamese driver’s license.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English (Mandarin is an asset).

• Willingness to work on a rotational schedule of 14 days on-site followed by 7 days off at Rosebel Gold Mines in Brokopondo.
