Yard man

We are seeking a dedicated Yard Man to join our Mine Maintenance department at Rosebel Gold Mines N.V. 

As a Yard Man, you will play a crucial role in keeping our storage yards clean and organized. Your responsibilities include proper storage of materials and equipment, manual loading and unloading of materials, while operating equipment to support the overall efficiency of our operations.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Operates Cat IT Loader, Boom Truck, mobile Crane and Man truck to move, load and unload equipment parts.
• Delivers materials to maintenance crews, assists crews with component change-out.
• Delivers materials to retired equipment lay-down yard; records all materials leaving retired equipment lay-down yard.
• Keeps yard and scrap bins orderly; salvages reusable materials and transports to retired equipment lay-down yard.
• Performs PM’s and minor repairs on own equipment together with mechanic.
• Cleans yard, wash ramp and related area after work is completed; removes all equipment and debris.
• Follows Safety Practices according to RGM policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Technical diploma (LTS/LBO)
• Certification and qualifications; Rigging, operating Lifting Equipment, IT Loader, Mobile Cranes and Boom Truck.
• Minimum 5 years in lifting equipment. 
• Experience with mobile Equipment inspection and operating.
• Valid Truck Driver license (BEC).
• Good written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English, Mandarin language is an asset.
• Willingness to work on a rotational schedule of 14 days of work followed by 7 days break.
