
Job description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented ESG Coordinator to support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives.
In this role, you will act as the primary liaison between the company and the Group on ESG-related matters, ensuring alignment with corporate ESG strategies, standards, and reporting requirements. You will coordinate ESG activities across multiple departments, monitor performance indicators, support data collection and reporting, and drive initiatives aimed at enhancing the company's ESG performance. The position requires strong project coordination, stakeholder engagement, analytical, and communication skills to promote sustainable business practices and compliance with ESG objectives.
Your key responsibilities will include:
(1) Interface with the Group and undertake ESG work coordination and operation execution.
Group task coordination and implementation: Receive ESG policy requirements, special tasks and assessment indicators issued by the Group, coordinate cross-departmental business and functional resources, promote implementation in accordance with the schedule, and ensure that all ESG tasks deployed by the Group meet compliance requirements and schedule requirements.
ESG full-cycle data management: Take overall responsibility for the cross-departmental collection, verification, statistics and analysis of multi-dimensional annual, quarterly and monthly ESG indicators, form standardized reporting materials in accordance with specifications and submit them to the Group and the company's management.
ESG exchange and communication: Interface with group leaders and various stakeholders to carry out ESG communication and ensure the smooth progress of relevant work.
Complete other ESG-related special tasks assigned by the management.
(2) Promote the implementation of ESG work in all dimensions and continuously improve the overall ESG performance of the company.
Environmental (E) issue management: Interface with the HSE department, take part in overall responsibility for promoting core environmental issues such as climate change response, biodiversity conservation, pollutant control and energy consumption management; participate in the environmental impact assessment of the company's new projects, and jointly promote the construction and implementation of environmental protection technical transformation projects and low-carbon related projects.
Social (S) issue management: Take part in overall responsibility for the implementation of social ESG issues, interface with human resources, safety, community and other departments, follow up work including occupational health and safety management, employee rights and interests and human rights protection, community public welfare exchanges, community supporting investment, and ensure that social ESG indicators meet the standards.
Governance (G) system optimization: Assist the company's leadership in improving the construction of ESG management system, institutional processes and working mechanisms, sort out ESG rights and responsibilities boundaries and work links, and continuously improve the standardization and systematization level of the company's ESG governance.
ESG reports compilation and disclosure: Take overall responsibility for the whole process of data collection, content writing, data verification, layout optimization and external disclosure including but not limited to the annual ESG report, quarterly brief and monthly message, ensure that the reports meet the requirements of mainstream disclosure standards such as GRI, and complete the report’s release on schedule or as requested.
ESG Policy Coordination and Transformation: In accordance with the requirements of the Group and the company's management, coordinate and align local ESG policies with the Group's ESG policies, including but not limited to the localization of relevant Group policies and the translation of local ESG policies into Chinese. Assist the company's management and various departments in conducting policy promotion and training for employees, expats and contractors.
Job requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
Master degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Environmental Management, Business Administration, Corporate Social Responsibility, or a related field.
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in ESG, sustainability, environmental management, corporate social responsibility, compliance, or a related area.
Knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks and sustainability standards is an advantage.
Experience coordinating cross-functional projects and preparing reports for management or external stakeholders.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
Willingness to work in Brokopondo on a rotational schedule of 14 days of work followed by 7 days off.
A valid proof of good conduct (‘Bewijs van goedgedrag’) will be required upon selection.
