Inventory controller

We are seeking an Inventory Controller to maintain optimal and cost-effective stock levels, ensuring materials are available when needed to support safe and uninterrupted operations. The role will coordinate material requirements and work closely with Maintenance, Operations, and Planning to prevent shortages and optimize inventory.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Monitor and manage inventory levels by reviewing replenishment and back-order reports, initiating requisitions, and taking timely action to prevent stock shortages.

• Manage item creation and replenishment processes in Oracle, including reviewing item requests, obtaining pricing, setting appropriate Min/Max levels, and creating requisitions outside the standard replenishment process.

• Monitor inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies by auditing daily cycle counts, addressing system or physical stock issues, and identifying opportunities to improve inventory management.

• Maintain hazardous materials records and reporting, including tracking materials received by sea, air, or road and preparing monthly and quarterly reports.

• Prepare and maintain inventory and month-end reports, respond to information requests, and support the timely closing and opening of monthly Accounting and Purchasing cycles.

The ideal candidate will have:

• High school diploma, with relevant experience as an inventory manager or replenishment agent.

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in warehouse or inventory control.

• Experience with computerized material management systems; strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and the ability to quickly learn new systems.

• Analyze inventory information and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Manage priorities, maintain accuracy, and follow up on outstanding inventory matters.

• Apply basic parts and materials knowledge; knowledge of mining or industrial parts is an asset.

• Proficiency in Dutch and English, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Willingness to work in Brokopondo on a rotational schedule of 14 days of work followed by 7 days break

• If selected, you will be required to submit a Police Clearance Certificate (“Bewijs van Goedgedrag”). Please initiate the request at your respective District Commissariat.
