Junior Exploration Geologist

We are seeking a motivated Junior Geologist to support exploration and resource development activities. The successful candidate will safely perform accurate and timely geological data collection related to drilling, mapping, and geochemical sampling while following industry best practices. The role also contributes to geological interpretations and the definition and expansion of mineral resources.

Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Effectively collect, validate, and manage geological drilling, mapping, and sampling data while maintaining QA/QC standards.

2. Proactively coordinate exploration drilling activities, monitor drill progress, and ensure timely sample submission and data validation.

3. Accurately compile, analyze, and maintain geological data using geological software and databases.

4. Collaboratively support field activities, core shack operations, and exploration projects alongside geologists and contractors.

5. Consistently uphold health, safety, environmental, and company standards while contributing to exploration and resource development activities.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelors of Science degree in Geology or a related field. Candidates who are in their final year of study and expected to graduate soon are also encouraged to apply.

• Minimum of 2 year of relevant work experience geological exploration for mining

• Strong knowledge of drill core and/or RC chip logging is considered an asset.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.

• Ability to adapt to changing operational priorities and field conditions.

• Willingness to work in Brokopondo on a rotational schedule of 14 days of work followed by 7 days break

• Good communication and interpersonal skills in Dutch and English.

• If selected, you will be required to submit a Police Clearance Certificate (“Bewijs van Goed Gedrag”). Please initiate the request at your respective District Commissariat.
