Junior Metallurgist

We are looking for a Junior Metallurgist to join the Mill Metallurgy team at Rosebel Gold Mines N.V. In this role, you will support metallurgical processes by conducting and monitoring activities and studies aimed at enhancing plant performance, optimizing production, and reducing costs.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Research, investigate, and prepare metallurgical information, reports, and databases to support performance improvement and production.

• Carry out, monitor, and optimize metallurgical activities, including sampling, test work, accounting, and water/reagent management.

• Monitor mill process efficiency, tailings treatment, and troubleshoot circuit performance.

• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of sampling equipment and metallurgical field analyzers.

• Organize work plans, prioritize tasks, and direct operator activities to ensure efficient plant operations.

• Assist in training personnel and implementing metallurgical process improvements while promoting environmental and sustainability policies.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• A degree in Metallurgy, Mineral Engineering, or equivalent,

• 3–5 years of gold mill operation and metallurgical work experience.

• Strong understanding of gold milling operations and knowledge of ISO 14001, environmental, and health & safety management.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, excellent communication, organizational skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality.

• Proficiency in using MS office, laboratory equipment and techniques.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in Dutch and English.

• Willingness to work on a rotational schedule of 14 days on/ 7 days off
