Kitchen Storage Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Kitchen Storage Supervisor to join the RGM Camp team. The successful candidate will oversee kitchen inventory and supplies, including stock control, ordering, receiving, and budget monitoring. The role requires effective coordination with kitchen and camp teams to ensure the timely availability of supplies and the smooth operation of food services.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Inventory & Stock Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, distribution, and accurate tracking of kitchen supplies, ingredients, and equipment. Ensure appropriate stock levels and timely replenishment.

• Quality, Safety & Compliance: Ensure proper storage practices, FIFO principles, food safety, hygiene, and compliance with applicable health and safety requirements. Monitor and document waste and quality issues.

• Team & Operations Management: Supervise and support storekeepers and kitchen assistants, assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure an efficient and organized workflow.

• Supplier & Budget Management: Coordinate with suppliers, monitor product quality and pricing, and manage kitchen supply costs within the approved budget while identifying cost-saving opportunities.

• Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Maintain accurate inventory, purchasing, and related records; prepare reports for management; and identify opportunities to improve inventory processes, efficiency, and service continuity.

The ideal candidate will have:

• HAVO, VWO, IMEAO diploma, or an equivalent qualification.

• At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in warehouse, logistics, inventory, or supply management.

• Strong knowledge of inventory management, stock control, and budget management, with good numerical and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills, with good verbal and written command of Dutch and English.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet set goals, lead a team, and maintain accurate records.

• Proficiency in MS Office and relevant inventory or accounting software; experience with QuickBooks is considered an advantage.

• Willingness to work in Brokopondo on a rotational schedule of 14 days of work followed by 7 days break

• Good communication and interpersonal skills in Dutch and English.

• If selected, you will be required to submit a Police Clearance Certificate (“Bewijs van Goed Gedrag”). Please initiate the request at your respective District Commissariat.
