Quality Assurance Technician

We are looking for a dedicated Quality Assurance Technician to join the Camp Services team at Rosebel Gold Mines N.V.
This role ensures the highest quality and safety standards across Kitchen, Camp Office, Laundry, and Housekeeping areas. The technician supports the implementation and oversight of Food Safety, Housekeeping & Hygiene, and HS&E programs, conducting inspections, updating procedures, and assisting with corrective and preventive actions across all camp facilities and transportation areas.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Support the implementation and monitoring of the Housekeeping, Hygiene, and Food Safety programs, ensuring compliance with HACCP principles and company standards.

• Guide and train kitchen and housekeeping staff on program compliance, safe work habits, and service quality.

• Conduct regular inspections, audits, and supplier evaluations to maintain program effectiveness and standards.

• Handle deviations and complaints, recommending corrective and preventive actions to meet program requirements.

• Update, document, and validate housekeeping, hygiene, and food safety procedures according to Iamgold and international standards.

• Assist General Services management with staff supervision, training, and overall support across kitchen, accommodation, laundry, and transportation areas.

The ideal candidate will have:

• High School education (NATIN medisch or chemisch analist / VWO biology) and relevant certification (e.g., Food Safety, Workplace Safety).

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in high-volume catering or hotel environments.

• Basic knowledge of internal audit processes, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to use data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.

• Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken); Mandarin is an advantage.

• Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills, with high safety and food hygiene awareness.

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and a valid Surinamese driver’s license

• Willingness to work on a rotational schedule of 14 days on/ 7 days off.
