Security Investigator

We are seeking a total of three skilled Security Investigators to join our team in the Security department at Rosebel Gold Mines N.V. As a Security Investigator, you will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations into security incidents, analyzing findings, and providing recommendations for continuous improvement.

Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Planning, coordinating, and conducting investigations into alleged and suspected violations of law such as theft, fraud, computer crimes, and workplace violence.

2. Gathering information to assist senior managers in understanding the mine site’s exposure in all investigated matters.

3. Serving as a subject matter expert on investigative strategies.

4. Applying interview techniques to establish facts related to investigations.

5. Managing complex investigations as projects, employing project management principles.

6. Translating complex facts into formal reports for internal, external, and executive use.

7. Performing data analysis to support decision-making and advising management.

8. Providing testimony before judicial and legislative bodies in legal proceedings related to relevant investigations.

9. Evaluating new investigative tools and techniques.

• The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum a Secondary High school diploma (MBO/VWO/HAVO).

  • Minimum of 10 years' relevant work experience.

  • Demonstrated knowledge in the areas of: Investigations, Emergency Planning, Risk Assessment, Physical Security, Information Protection, Computer Forensics, and Rules of Evidence

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Valid Suriname Drivers’ license.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English.

  • Willingness to work in Brokopondo on a rotational schedule of 14 days of work followed by 7 days break.

  • If selected, you will be required to submit a Police Clearance Certificate (“Bewijs van Goed Gedrag”). Please initiate the request at your respective District Commissariat.
