Security Supervisor

As a Security Supervisor at Rosebel Gold Mines, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our operations. You will be responsible for overseeing a team of security personnel and implementing effective security measures to protect our assets in our Process Plant, Main Gate, and Mobile Patrols. 

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the security team in the functions related to Mine Operations, Mine Services, Gold Mill Operations, Solar Farm Operations, Security Administration, and Reaction Response.

• Ensuring that the security teams are properly trained and equipped to carry out their duties.

• Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate measures to mitigate risks.

• Monitor security systems, including CCTV cameras and access control systems, to detect and respond to any security breaches.

• Investigate security incidents and prepare detailed reports for the Shift Commander. 

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a coordinated approach to security and emergency response.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Senior High School diploma and a certificate in industrial Security will be an advantage. 

• A minimum of 6 years relevant experience preferable in military service

• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English, both verbal and written. 

• The ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.

• A high level of integrity and professionalism.

• Valid Surinamese driver's license. 

• Proficiency in using security systems and MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 

• Willingness to work on a rotational schedule of 14 days of work followed by 7 days break.
