Warehouse Foreman

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Foreman to join our team at Rosebel Gold Mines N.V. in the Warehouse department. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient inventory management, and leading a team of warehouse staff.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Monitor warehouse operations and systematically report on productivity, inventory levels, and the quality and safety of storage facilities.

• Maintain warehouse supplies and materials inventory; approve purchase orders for supplies and materials and monitor expenditures and budgets.

• Process requisitions, purchase materials, review costing, and manage inventory.

• Review data to identify inefficiencies, enhance productivity, and ensure supplies are replenished in order to avoid disruptions to mine operations.

• Review purchase orders for accuracy and coordinate purchase order requests authorized through the system.

• Initiate the request for proposal process with preferred suppliers and participate in the selection of suppliers along with senior management.

• Ensure contract administration and service agreements are accurate, and that suppliers adhere to the outlined terms for usage, supply deficiencies and costing.

• Manage a team of warehouse and supply staff and ensure adequate staff coverage at all times including coverage for schedules. Coordinate on-call staff scheduling to provide after-hours or emergency coverage.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Diploma in facilities management, logistics or related area (2year program).

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a warehouse environment.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or lead role.

• Strong knowledge of warehouse equipment and processes.

• Advance Computer knowledge Ms. Office, Outlook and ERPs systems

• Willingness to work on a rotational schedule of 14 days of work followed by 7 days break.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in Dutch and English.
